Business Consulting

Our consultants take up consulting assignments for our clients. When we get an assignment, we either work in collaboration with other organisations or get experts on board who can execute the assignment. The areas we have worked are:

  • ERP implementation
  • HR Strategy and Implementation
  • Project Management

Our consultants have partnered with Saib Solutions, UK for providing ERP solutions using the Infor Suite of products. The work is done primarily from offshore with planned visits to the client sites in UK. Currently we are working for a retail supplier of building fittings. The engagement started in 2019.

Constellation is involved in a business consulting assignment of for Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC). Our consultants are assisting the SAIL IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) at Burnpur, West Bengal to implement an enterprise wide SAP implementation.

We have assisted ISP to develop the RFP for implementation and selection of the vendor which is TCS. We have supported all stages of the project from Project Preparation, Business Blueprint, Realisation, Final Preparation, Go Live and Support. The assignment started in 2017 and is continuing.

Our consultants have also worked on the development of business blueprint documents, functional requirement specification and strategies for implementation of an enterprise solution for a greenfield venture of the West Bengal government, the West Bengal State Beverages Corporation Ltd. The assignment was carried out in 2017.

Constellation was involved in Programme management of a prestigious project of World Bank for the Transport department, Government of West Bengal through Ideation Technology Solutions who are the implementation partners.

The work involved development of three portals for the department with online information management for citizens and department personnel. Collection of live passenger data for 350 plus routes of Kolkata Municipal Corporation and carrying out Route Rationalisation formed an important component.

Further Bus tracking system through Driver Apps, Commuter Apps for citizens to keep track of running buses, Trip Planner Apps for working out the most optimised path were part of the assignment. The assignment was initiated in 2016 and was completed in March 2017. “Pathadisha” the Commuter App continues to remain a highly popular App among bus passengers of Kolkata even today.

The assignment for Pinnacle Infotech Solutions was executed under Aidias Consulting. We were involved in business process improvement studies for all processes in the organisation. In HR, we undertook performance management, training needs assessment, training course design and implementation.

KRAs and performance measures were formulated. The intervention led to improvement in the efficiency and productivity of the core development and support processes. The assignment was carried out in 2014.

The next assignment was a follow-up towards process and efficiency improvement. We were involved in the regular review and audit of all Pinnacle projects, about 70 of them at any point of time.

It involved the review from the aspects of time, quality and cost. The weekly review and feedback helped Pinnacle improve its delivery capabilities immensely.

We also recommended adoption of new technologies for the IT project management system. The assignment was completed in 2015.

This assignment was won by Aidias Consulting. Constellation managed the IT project involving offshore development of web crawler programmes for a period of 16 months. The work was successfully completed and appreciated by the client. The work was executed during 2012-13.

The assignment was carried out under Ideation Technology Solutions. Constellation project managed a product development for the UK based organisation for the Utilities market.

The application development was done using Java and a BPM framework The work was carried out in 2015.

We delivered a complete end to end web-based solution in .NET technology for a service management system in collaboration with Sysgen Technology Solutions. It supported customer data, service complaints and contractual services, service queue maintenance, branch maintenance, technician maintenance and material management. The project was executed in 2013.

The assignment was acquired by us and delivered in collaboration with Sysgen Technology Solutions. The work involved reengineering and redevelopment of an insurance brokerage management system. The system had been developed in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
